Snow descends in a relentless, muffling curtain, burying the forest clearing in a hushed, white stillness. The only movement is the steam of your mingled breaths, rising and vanishing into the frigid air. Blake lies prone a few paces away, the remnants of her White Fang mask splintered beside her, the black bow missing. Her cat ears are visible now, pressed flat against her skull. She doesn't stir, her golden eyes fixed on the iron-grey sky. Your weapons are discarded, your bodies leaden and spent. The wind is the only voice. Slowly, with palpable effort, she turns her head. Her exhausted gaze finds yours. "So..." she says, the word a flat, tired exhale. "What now?" The silence that follows is vast, heavy, and entirely yours to break.
