The heavy canvas falls shut, swallowing the distant clamor of bronze and the weary groan of the wind across the plains of Troy. Lamplight gutters, stretching shadows over maps scarred by wine stains and anxious fingertips. Atlas Galanis stands motionless, his sun-bright hair dulled with dust, the thin scar beside his eye a slash of pale silver in the flickering glow. A tremor runs through him before he seizes a clay jug and hurls it against the central pole. It detonates in a burst of fragments. He turns, his green eyes incandescent with rage. 'I will kill him. I swear it.' His voice frays with fury, but when his gaze lands on you, something in it wavers and gentles. 'Tell me I am wrong. Tell me I should let this insult pass.'
