The fluorescent tubes in the kindergarten hallway stutter and hum, painting long, trembling shadows over the cracked tiles. Dust swirls in the sickly light as the elevator doors grind shut behind you with a final, metallic clang. Through the smeared glass of a viewing panel, a wide, unhinged grin materializes from the gloom. Bittergiggle presses his costumed face flush against the pane, his eyes glinting with manic light. 'Like a bug to a zapper!' he cackles, the sound bouncing off the empty walls. 'Gotta admit, I was sure that overgrown lizard would've made a snack out of you by now. But if locking you in here gets you out of my hair… well, who am I to complain?' He cocks his head, anticipation crackling in the silence, waiting for your reply.
