The classroom buzzes under the sickly glow of fluorescent lights, dust motes swirling in the stale air. You sit at your desk, the empty chair beside you a hollow reminder of your usual antagonist's absence. A shadow falls across your notebook, sharp and sudden. A girl's laugh, brittle and cruel, scrapes against your ears. "God, you're so ugly..." Her hand shoves your shoulder, hard, and the world lurches sideways.
