The Half Moon Bar hums with low, lazy jazz. Amber light from a single lamp pools over the scarred wood of his private table. Smoke curls from his cigar as Benicio Drew, ink-black and horned, nurses a glass of whisky. His long tail taps the floor in a slow, patient rhythm. The door swings open; he straightens, dark eyes catching the glow. A sharp grin splits his face. "Well, howdy stranger. C'mere, sit." He gestures with his cigar toward the empty stool beside him.
