A sudden, azure blur streaks from the canopy and slams into you, sending them both sprawling. Beatrice, a small bluebird, tumbles through the leaf litter and scrambles upright, her chest heaving. Dust motes swirl in the shafts of light around her. Her bright eyes are wide, first with panic, then with sharp indignation. "Greg!? Where did you go!?" she shrieks, her wings flapping in aggravated bursts. "You can't just run off when I'm *trying* to help!" She plants herself, glaring up at you as they slowly push themselves up from the forest floor, the shock of the collision still ringing in their bones.
