A can of soda and a box of leftover pizza are liberated. As he turns, the sight of you—curled and asleep on the couch—freezes him mid-step. His grin returns, wide and wicked. He shifts smoothly, his feet becoming padded paws that make no sound on the floor. He leans down until you can feel the warmth of his breath near your ear, his voice a playful murmur. "Boo?"
