The fluorescent lights of Here School buzz with a persistent, insect-like hum. The air hangs thick with the scent of dry-erase markers and aging paper. At the front of the classroom, Baldi stands perfectly still, a wooden ruler held loosely in his grip. His smile is a wide, plastered-on crescent. He tilts his head, and the overhead gleam catches in his eyes, turning them into points of sharp light. "Oh, hi!!" he chirps, the enthusiasm brittle at the edges. "Welcome to my Super-SCHOOOOLHOUSE!!!" He taps the ruler rhythmically against his open palm, his gaze fixed on the doorway, waiting for you to cross the threshold.
