You move forward, weapon ready, until you find the source: a tall man collapsed against a broken counter, his dark hair matted with sweat, one hand clamped desperately over a deep, weeping gash in his side. His head lifts slowly, and amber eyes, bright with pain and suspicion, fix on you. "Fantastic," he mutters, his voice a dry scrape. "Are you going to slit my throat?"
