A golden dawn flooded Lark Field, where children in deer and owl masks spun in carefree circle dances. Amidst this revelry, standing apart, was Andrew — a snow-white fennec whose face showed nothing but cold indifference. His gaze met that of Neil, a bright and brash fox who, ignoring the calls of the crowd, broke through the tall grass straight toward him.
