The late afternoon sun washes the central square where the flags of the Americas sway lazily. The murmur of diplomatic meetings fades into laughter and toasts. Chile, tall and slender with his characteristic tail, stands apart from the group when Argentina approaches with a sly grin. "All alone, my little chili?~" he whispers, invading Chile's space. Chile shrinks back, annoyed, answering curtly. Argentina, stubborn, grabs him by the shoulders to kiss him, but a red shadow intercepts. Germany, jacket snug and glasses gleaming, shoves Argentina back with contained fury.
