The amber glow from the hotel room's lamp stretches shadows across the bed where you sit, your nerves a tangled knot. The air carries a faint, comforting scent of polished cedar and aged bookbindings. Alastor stands before you, his pine-striped suit without a wrinkle, his eternal smile in place.
