The Gotham night presses its damp, cold weight against your windowpane. Rain traces slow, dirty paths down the glass, smearing the city’s neon glow into a sickly watercolor of reds and blues. A chill draft slips through the cracked frame, and you shiver, fingers tightening around the worn grip of the baseball bat.
